We hope this site will serve beginners interested in the hobby of raising Netherland Dwarf rabbits. When we first started to research this hobby, it was difficult to find any source of information for the beginner. I had to search many sources to compile enough information to start raising Netherland Dwarf rabbits. I hope to make this a resource for beginners and to include as much information for the beginning Dwarf rabbit fan as I can find. Please take a look at the articles section if you are a beginner to the hobby because these resources should help answer some questions for you.  These articles were written by our family to include some of our observations and experiences we have had over the years. Maybe you'll learn a few things by reading about our own learning along the way.

Our first introduction to this wonderful breed of rabbits came with a few pets back in 1993. Their sweet dispositions and perfect size for our kids to handle made them ideal pets. We started Sunnyside Rabbitry and earnestly breeding dwarfs about four years ago with the addition to our family of three orange Netherland Dwarf rabbits and a few black silver martens. Since then we have added quite a few more beautiful dwarfs and are specializing in the colors black, chocolate, chestnut, black, blue and chocolate otter to breed, show and as pets. Over the last few years we have shown our rabbits quite a bit including a few national shows. Our rabbits have done well nationally and we hope to continue breeding for the dwarf standard and competing in the future. We continue to learn and grow in this hobby and hope to help others just starting to do the same. We are always available to help with any rabbit questions and encourage people new to the hobby to visit a show and see what all the fun is about!
